Identify the administrator’s main responsibility to the ALF in regard to financial management.
Identify understanding of 5 of the 7 federal statutes that impact ALFs.
Identify the benefits of organizational code of ethics for an ALF.
Identify the difference between Advance Care Planning and Advance Directives.
Identify 2 of the 4 reasons that residents leave the ALF environment.
Course Description
This 16 hour course is designed to educate administrators and ALF staff on basic principles of management, including financial management skills. It covers Federal Statutes that Impact Assisted Living Facilities, Organizational Code of Ethics, Advance Care Planning and Advance Directives. This course also helps intended audience to inspect rationales for residents to enter and exit Assisted Living and explore ways to increase resident retention, including community resources available. The target audience for this course are: Nurses, ALF Administrators, ALF Managers, New owners of ALF facilities, RN Case managers for ALF’s.
