Take this course to learn about the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Hazardous Materials Regulations regarding labeling and placarding. This course is ideal for people who offer hazardous materials to be shipped and for air, highway, rail and water carriers. You may take this course alone, but remember to take the entire suite, in order, every 3 years to fulfill the requirements of the U.S. Department of Transportation, or DOT.

 Identify the general requirements for affixing labels and placards to hazardous material (HAZMAT) shipments

 Determine when exceptions to these requirements apply as well as when modifications can be made to labels and placards

 Use the labeling and placarding tables to select the appropriate labels and placard for hazardous materials
