Course Description
This course provides a foundational understanding of OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (29 CFR 1910.1030), covering bloodborne diseases, their transmission, and prevention strategies.
Bloodborne pathogens, like hepatitis B (HBV), hepatitis C (HCV), and HIV, are infectious microorganisms in human blood that can cause serious diseases. They spread through contact with infected blood and other potentially infectious materials (OPIM).
