Multidrug-Resistant Organisms

This course provides learners with an in-depth overview of MDRO and MRSA development, risk factors and prevention techniques. This course is intended for a broad spectrum of healthcare workers.

 Define multidrug-resistant organisms, or MDROs;

 Define methicillin- and oxacillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus, or MRSA;

 Detect modes of transmission and symptoms of concern in patient populations;

 Describe the risks associated with acquiring MDROs;

 Identify the populations at risk of acquiring MRSA;

 Describe measures to prevent the transmission of MRSA in healthcare environments
